When downloading the software, the person or commercial entity (‘User’ or ‘Users’) downloading the PLEfit2D software (‘Software’) agrees to the following terms:
Access to the Software is granted for non-commercial use only. Users are only allowed to analyze their own fluorescence excitation spectra and publish the outcome of the analysis. The Software cannot be used for commercial purposes. Commercial purposes can mean but are not limited to generating revenues, directly or indirectly, e.g. through delivering services to or research for third parties.
More specifically
The Software is provided “as is” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for particular purpose and non-infringement of third parties’ intellectual property rights. The University of Antwerp and the authors have no obligation to provide maintenance, support, updates, enhancements or modifications to this Software. In no event shall the authors or the University of Antwerp be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with the use of the Software.
Publications comprising results or outcome realized thanks to the use of the Software, should contain the following reference to the accompanying paper [1]:
“These results were obtained by use of the PLEfit2D software developed by NANOrOPT at the University of Antwerp, see https://plefit2d.uantwerpen.be. [ref] “

The PLEfit2D software runs on Windows only, not on Mac.
The PLEfit2D software is delivered in executable format.
The PLEfit2D software aids the analysis of fluorescence excitation spectroscopy data by allowing the user to fit the highly accurate model described in ref. 1 to the data and extracting the fitted parameters.
The input should be appropriately calibrated PLE data, delivered in a compatible .MAT, .XLSX or .CSV format. Both the calibration and formatting of the data are described in the User Manual. (2,61MB)
